Post 10804 get started? Here's a short history..
| The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 10804 was chartered on November 5, 1991, and currently boasts 162 members, including 70 life members! We meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:30 AM in the Post 10804 Banquet Hall. The Post 10804 Ladies Auxiliary aggressively raises funds for the VFW National Home for Children and for the Ladies Auxiliary Cancer Aid & Research Fund. Members of our organization are also active in our community throughout the year, whether it be in the form of assisting with functions at the local elementary school, providing a Christmas party for the county children's shelter, or volunteering at the Myrtle Beach VA Hospital. In addition to the National Home and Cancer Aid & Research, we also have projects throughout our year to support Americanism, Veterans Services, Community Service, and Youth Activities. An annual "Cake-Less Bake Sale" or other similar solicitation provides our contribution to VFW PAC. Finally, we stand strongly, along with our post comrades and Men's Auxiliary brothers, in support of our military brothers and sisters currently serving in harm's way. Our adopted unit came home in October, 2006, and we stand ready to support another unit in the coming year! |
