Americanism:  2009-2010 Chairs:  Sandra Gray

Post and Auxiliary members will conduct a "Pledge of Allegiance"
program at North Myrtle Beach Primary School during the school
year.  
Buddy Poppy:  2009-2010 Chair: Cathy Farley

The Buddy Poppy program will take place in the fall, prior
to Veteran's Day and in the spring, prior to Memorial Day.
In addition, a presentation will be made at the Spring Conference to
follow the theme, Southern Belle Fashion Show.

Cancer Aid & Research: 2009-2010 Chair:  JoAnne McCormick
The 7th annual Cancer Aid Scramble golf outing to benefit cancer
research will be held in December, 2009, at a location to be determined.
This is always a fun event and proceeds benefit cancer research.
Community Service:  2009-2010 Chair:  Dana Fogner
Our post and auxiliaries really try to make a difference in our local
community throughout the year through a variety of programs.  We
are eager to determine specific needs that we can fulfill.
Hospital:  2009-2010 Chair:  Catherine Steel
The Post and Auxiliaries will continue to look for programs
which can use our assistance as well as hosting activities
which will benefit those in local facilities.
Legislative/VFW PAC (Political Action Committee):  
2009-2010 Chair:  Jill Cloutier
Our members send e-mails and letters to our local representatives in state
and national government to recommend support of many veterans' causes.
 
Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest
2009-2010 Chair:  Lisa Kirby
Amber Lashoones, a 12th grade student from Loris, SC, was our
local winner last year.  We look forward to continued involvement
in this program.
Patriot's Pen/Voice of Democracy
2009-2010 Chair:  Lisa Kirby
Rachel Abarbanell, a 12th grade student at Aynor High
School, and Tyler LaPierre, an 8th grade student at North
Myrtle Beach Middle School, were local winners last year.  
Again, we look forward to continued participation.
Veterans and Family Services:
2009-2010 Chair:  Paula Tourtellotte
VFW Post 10804 and the Auxiliaries take a great deal of
pride in their support of veterans and their families!  The
Post is also one of the sponsors of the newly opened
Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center in Little
River.
